Please Update Your Tarkanian MS issued chromebook
The Smarter Balanced assessments (SBAC) are a key part of measuring student progress in grades 3-8 towards success in college and career. The computer-adaptive format and online administration of the assessments provide meaningful feedback that teachers and parents can use to help students succeed. The assessments are aligned with the Nevada Academic Content Standards in ELA and mathematics. Results from SBAC are included on the Nevada Report Card.
What is SBAC testing?

Turn on your Chromebook.

Connect your Chromebook to Wi-Fi.

At the bottom right, select the time.

Select Settings (Gear Wheel).

At the bottom of the left panel, select About Chrome OS.

Under "Google Chrome OS," you'll find which version of the Chrome operating system your Chromebook uses.

Select Check for updates.

If your Chromebook finds a software update, it will start to download automatically.

Congrats! You're updated for better wifi connectivity.
S.B.A.C TESTING

Yearly S.B.A.C testing begins on March 28, 2024. Please note the following testing schedule:
· All Grades Testing (ELA): March 28th through March 30th
· All Grades Testing (MATH): April 4th & April 5th
For a successful testing experience please ensure that students:
1. Arrive to school on time, and are well rested
2. Come with their Chromebook fully charged
3. Are prepared, focused, and ready to do their best
