Student Safety
Checking a Student Out
Only those adults that are in listed in Infinite Campus are allowed to check a student out of school. A valid, state issued identfication of the adult must be provided to the office staff to verify before the student will be released.

Late Pick-Up
For the safety of our students, it is necessary that each student be picked up on time on a daily basis. Please ensure that your student is picked up no later than 2:40 p.m. each day, and no later than 10 minutes after the ending time of any after-school activity.
Any student found on the Tarkanian campus outside of these times will be escorted to the Student Success Office to wait for their ride. Parents/guardians will be asked to come in to the Student Success Office to sign their student out if they arrive after the times indicated above.
Thank you for your cooperation and assistance in keeping your student safe.
Visiting Campus
All visitors must report to the Principal's Office and check-in before they are permitted on campus. You must have a valid, state issued identification in order to visit campus. All visitors must be approved by TMS Adminstration/Staff before they are given access.
All visitors must wear the office issued visitor's pass at all times when on campus.
Safety between School and Home
It is important to do everything possible to ensure the safety of students. This includes sharing important personal safety information with students. Parents/Guardians are encouraged to speak to their children regarding their safety. Please refer to the CCSD Student Safety Letters below for more information.
Traffic & Safety
Student safety is our first priority at TMS. Students must be dropped off in the TMS parking lot or on the north side of Pyle Avenue. There is no crosswalk on Pyle to allow students to safely cross, therefore, do not drop off or pick up students on the south side of Pyle.
Students will not be allowed to cross Pyle without a parent/guardian. Please adhere to the one-way traffic lanes in the parking lot. Stop only briefly to drop off/pick up at the marked crossing, then continue moving to promote traffic flow. Also, please be advised that U-turns are against the law in front of the school and the speed limit is 15 mph during the school day and/or when children are present.
We ask for your help keeping all of our students safe.
